To dedicate ourselves to the professional development of students enrolled in the Civil and Environmental Engineering programs. This will be achieved by doing the following:

- Conducting regular meetings with speakers on professional issues and technical topics
- Organizing field trips to engineering landmarks and major projects
- Participating in community service projects
- Ensuring entries in the National Daniel W. Mead Student Paper Contest
- Attending ASCE Section/Branch meetings
- Participating in the ASCE Student Conferences
- Acting as a liaison between the UVM student chapter of ASCE and ASCE
