Behavioral Guidelines
[back to Important Details]   or    [back to Parents' FAQ]

Dorms
Female and male students are housed separately. You are prohibited at all times from access to any floor of the opposite sex. Please do not play music loudly in your dorm room.

   11:00pm - In-Room Curfew
   12:00am - Lights Out

Students should only leave their rooms after 11pm to use the bathroom or speak to a counselor. Reckless behavior (fighting, breaking items, setting off fire alarms, defacing property, trashing rooms, etc.) will not be tolerated, and you will be asked to leave. Any damages will be borne entirely by the student and/or parents.

Classroom
Please pay attention during presentations. Refrain from chatting, exchanging notes, or eating during class. Radios or CD players should not accompany students to class, lab, project time or on trips. Cell phones MUST be turned off during classroom presentations. During labs, trips and project time, listen carefully and follow instructions - by all means, ask questions! Do not leave rooms or designated areas without permission from your counselor.

Alchohol and Smoking
Use, possession, storage, or attempt to purchase alchoholic beverages, cigarettes or drugs is prohibited. Students found with such substances will be removed from the program.

Fire Safety
Fire codes and safety ordinances prohibit misuse, removal or tampering with all safety equipment including fire hoses, extinguishers, window screens, and windows. Exits are marked in hallways. Candles, incense, etc are prohibited. Students who violate these provisions may be removed from the program.

I understand that if I do not comply with instructions, am disruptive or present behavior problems, I will be given a verbal warning and I will be on probation for the remainder of the week. I understand that a second warning merits immediate dismissal, my parents called, and my removal from the program with no refund.
